Default [R/Me] Acolyte of Dwayna Down in 90s or less!

Acolyte of Dwayna is one of the harder solo bosses in game, and thus her green's price has remained up. (20-25k currently)
I was solo trapping UW one day then thought to myself humm.. if 10 dust traps can kill a attax, then surely Acolyte of Dwayna is killable. I tried and perfected my method, and now I can kill her 90% of the time in my first try.

Attributes:
12 + 3 + 1 Wilderness Survival
12 + 3 Expertise
3 + 1 Beast Mastery

Skills:
Arcane Echo
Serpent's Quickness
[Elite]Echo
Dust Trap
Barbed Trap
Flame Trap
Energizing Wind
Quickening Zephyr

Template code: OgUTYnLj5YJIXJJX5LX7bHA

Useage: Hero hench your way to Acolyte's castle using this path:

Kill every group and leave the acolyte. Then, flag your hero and henchmen away, and run with them until she runs back to her little castle.

Find a suitable spot for trapping where you wont be discovered. Heres one spot that works well:

Lay down Energizing Wind, Quickening Zephyr.
Cast Arcane echo, and in the middle of casting press serpent's quickness.
Then, echo, Dust trap, the copied echo, the dust trap copied from the original echo and the dust trap coped from arcane echo.
(If thats confusing it basically goes 7,8,1,2,3,4,1,3,1 on your skill slot)
Lay 1 flame trap and back up a bit.
Lay 1 barbed trap, and wait for your 3 traps and SQ to recharge. Lay them in order, renewing SQ on your fifth or sixth trap. Lay another flame trap for good measure. Quickening Zephyr should be gone here.
Once your original dust trap recharge, lay it down. Wait for Energizing wind to recharge, and use it along with SQ. Then, repeat your first step (echo chaining so you get 3 dust traps). Then lay 1 final flame trap.
Now pull her to your spirit. Lay down another dust trap if you want, but its not necessary. She should be killed, but if not just run away and wait for her to deaggro so you can try again.

Keep at it and you'll get this:

If its confusing i might make a video or something.

Oh yeah this is on normal mode. Runs go much faster.

If someone else thought of the build before me then props to them. But this run was inspired by trapping in other places, so I don't have a clue about whatever.

I posted this exact same build a long time ago. Idk if they deleted the post or not, but it was exactly the same. Yep, I looked through search, and through the farming section, they deleted my build. The only variation between this and mine was that I used heroes to help trap, so she dies 100% of the time, then I flag my trapper heroes away so I could get the drop.

I'm not familiar with the Echo-Trapping process... since I'm not much of a ranger player. I expect I'd probably find it very difficult to pull off for a while.

I do know that my N/Me can sometimes kill her with the Signet of Midnight+Humility build (I clustered the skills together myself, but discovered others were using the same build), but perfect timing is needed to make it work, and if she activates the avatar then the entire thing messes up. My timing isn't generally that awesome, but I can still kill her sometimes.
I haven't yet managed to get the Scythe.
Ironically enough, I managed to get the greens of both her other friends while farming her though... and that is WITH herohench in full attendance. I swear GW has a sick sense of humour.

there is a way to solo her, and by solo i do mean no henchies or nothing, you just have to get a good spawn and a good pull. the entire run itself takes 3-5 minutes. I should know I sold em when they used to be 30-35k, still farm em now but like titans prices do drop

Everytime I pull her to my spirits/traps, she always goes beside them.

Am I doing something wrong? After the pulling, I simply run behind my spirits. Should I just stay where my traps are?

a simple question
yes maybe one step behind. so they get in the dust trap en if she runs past them again you just go to center.

Thanks for the build/guide. I had some trouble at first as the Acolyte was always a bit slow in coming into the traps, and instead of walking at me, took a detour on the left side of that little fort. 6 successful runs, no greens from any of the bosses. But thanks, again.

You have to do it in one of the corners or she wont take the right path.
A good spot is on the screenshot. Also, remember to walk a step back before barb trapping this ensures she gets crippled in the middle of your 11 or so dust traps.

Nice guide Muhahaha. I have a question. Based on your screen shot it looks like you have farmed a lot of these scythes. Can you give me an idea on what the drop rate is? I did 15 runs and got the Scythe three times. However, on runs number 16-31 I didn't get the Scythe once. Does the anti-farming affect kick in for you also? Or did I just get a run of bad luck? Should I try doing something else between runs? Thanks.

I would say I did around 80 runs
got 2 straight scythes once but had a dry streak of almost 30 once.
Drop rate isnt bad for a 25k item.

Question

Here's another question. Can this be done without henchies/heros? How can you be sure the hench/hero's aren't affecting your drop even though you flag them away for example? Because I know for a fact gold is still shared throughout the party even if they're well out of your map radius.

Would doing this in hard mode increase the chance for a green drop and how viable is it?

Thanks

This build is nerfed. They changed the duration of Energizing Winds into 9 seconds when beast mastery is 4. I tried this anyway with that and you run out of energy fast. So if you wanna farm this scythe, you might wanna take a hero/another person with high beast mastery to use EW for you.

Your best bet is to take AJ or MtS with you and give them a 16 BM. After you kill everything and get ready to trap bring them with you. Have them drop EW then send them on their way back to the rest of the group off the radar with a 16 in WS the EW should last 33 seconds, plenty of time to drop enough traps to kill this boss.

And just for fun there is no reason you couldn't have her drop Predatory Season, Toxicity, and a Viper's Nest before you shooo her away
